Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Charge the Cruzer?
Using the charger, plug it into any outlet. It will take 4-6 hours to fully charge. Avoid leaving the Cruzer or charger plugged in for long periods of time. The charging port is located on the right side (if you’re sitting on it), below the foot deck. You can also plug the charger directly into the battery.
How Do I Move the Cruzer?
Always ensure the Cruzer is turned off when moving it, and you’re not sitting on it. Turn the Cruzer on once you’re seated and ready to go. It's very easy to accidentally turn the throttle while walking the Cruzer into position causing the Cruzer to lurch forward unexpectedly.
How Does the Key Fob / Key Work?
The Cruzer will detect the key fob and allow the Cruzer’s ‘start’ push button to engage. Unlock the Cruzer using the key fob before starting. The physical key included with your Cruzer is to lock and unlock the battery for removal.
How Do I Start Cruzing on My Cruzer?
While sitting on the Cruzer, with your hands on the handles, put the kick stand up (Cruzer will not move when kick stand is down), then slowly twist the throttle on the right handle and ease your way up to your desired speed.
How Do I Turn on the Alarm?
To engage the alarm, push the lock button on the key fob. Once you turn off the Cruzer while in alarm mode, it will automatically sound the alarm after 10 seconds (making a loud alarm sound to notify you it's locked).
How Do I Deactivate the Alarm?
Use the unlock button on the key fob. Once the Cruzer is unlocked, the push button start will work to turn on the Cruzer.
Can I Get the Cruzer Wet?
To clean your Cruzer, wipe it down with a wet cloth. Avoid spraying it with water, as it may damage the electrical components.
What is the Proper Tire Pressure?
Regularly check the tire pressure to ensure tires are inflated to the proper PSI of 20-30 PSI. Low tire pressure can affect speed, performance, and safety.
Can Nuts and Bolts Become Loose?
Like any moving vehicle, it’s possible for nuts and bolts to loosen over time. To avoid problems, regularly check for any loose nuts and bolts that may loosen during riding.
What Do I Do If My Brakes Start Squeaking?
Clean your brakes often with a clean cloth and ensure no debris is between the brake pads and rotors. If your brakes start to squeak, wipe the discs with a clean cloth, or use brake cleaner to remove any dust or dirt.
How Long Does the Battery Last?
With our 20 AH battery, expect 20-25 miles of range. Keep in mind the range can be impacted by the topography, weight of driver/passenger, and charging habits. To get the most life out of your battery, charge it for the recommended 4-6 hours and then unplug from the charger.
Where Do I Store My Battery?
Do not store batteries in temperatures greater than 130°F or lower than 14°F for longer than 24 hrs. Extreme temperatures can damage the battery and void the warranty.
Why Am I Experiencing Slow Speeds?
Your Cruzer will go slower when the battery gets low, especially when going uphill. Charge your battery and try again.
Why Won’t My Cruzer Turn On?
Check the battery plug to ensure it’s pushed in all the way. If the Cruzer's display turns on, but won't accelerate, check to see if either brake is engaged.
